3 Night Time Skincare Products I Couldn’t Live Without

Taking care of our skin is of utmost importance, and night time skincare rituals play a pivotal role in maintaining healthy and glowing skin. As someone who believes in the power of a consistent skincare routine, I cannot stress enough the significance of incorporating effective products into our night-time regimen. In this blog, I will be sharing three skincare products that have become an indispensable part of my night time routine, helping me achieve radiant and nourished skin.

1. Cleansing Oil:

One of the most essential products I cannot imagine my skincare routine without is a good quality cleansing oil. While it might seem counterintuitive to cleanse the skin with oil, cleansing oils have proven to be a game-changer for me. They effortlessly remove dirt, impurities, and even stubborn makeup, all without stripping away the natural oils that protect and nourish the skin. Additionally, a cleansing oil also helps to unclog pores, allowing the products that follow to penetrate deeper and work more effectively. My favourite cleansing oil is Dermalogica Pre Cleanse.  I pump once in the palm of my hand and massage all over my face and eyes, I then wet my hands and continue massaging to create a light, milky emulsion. I finish by removing with my reusable make-up remover pads with lukewarm water. My skin feels fresh, hydrated, and without any greasy residue. This pre-cleanse is suitable for all skin types, it’s great for breakouts, ageing and pigmented skin. There are lots of cleansing oils out on the market. But this is the one I recommend to all my customers. 

2. Retinol Serum:

Next in my list of indispensable night-time skincare products is a retinol serum. Retinol, a derivative of vitamin A, is renowned for its remarkable anti-aging properties. It aids in stimulating collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture, and enhancing overall radiance. Incorporating a retinol serum into my night-time routine has made a noticeable difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. However, it’s crucial to start with a low concentration and gradually increase usage to avoid any potential irritation. I recommend using retinol serums two to three times a week at the beginning and eventually progressing to daily use once your skin develops tolerance. The results are undeniably worth it! 3. Moisturiser:

Last but not least, a nourishing moisturiser seals the deal in my night-time routine. Rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients, this final step provides the necessary hydration and nutrients to restore and rejuvenate the skin throughout the night. I use Dermalogica’s Phyto Nature Oxygen Cream. This light as air, liquid moisturiser utilises rare plant actives to firm, revitalise and plump skin reducing the signs of premature skin ageing. I have seen a dramatic change in the lines on my forehead.
